LIUC – Università Cattaneo Opts to Move to Ex Libris Alma, Primo, and Leganto to Improve E-Resource Access

BOLOGNA, ITALY, October 9, 2018 – Ex Libris^®, a ProQuest company, is pleased to announce that Italy’s LIUC – Università Cattaneo will be moving to the Ex Libris Alma^® library services platform, Primo^® discovery and delivery solution, and Leganto™ course reading list solution.

Because of the diversity of the technological solutions currently in place at LIUC, information has accumulated in silos and problems have developed with the management of e‑resources and the provision of access to them.

LIUC Rector Professor Federico Visconti said, “One of the strategic objectives assigned to the library is to better support researchers in accessing electronic resources and to create innovative services that can be delivered via the Internet to the entire LIUC community. With Alma, Primo, and Leganto, we will be able to create a more user-friendly library service that increases the use of all resources and makes the management and distribution of teaching materials more efficient.”

With the move to the Ex Libris solutions, LIUC will benefit from tight integration between discovery, resource management, and resource lists, which are all based on the Ex Libris cloud platform. The effective unified management of both print resources and the university’s increasing collection of e‑resources will support a large, rapidly growing community of users in Italy.
