ProQuest OASIS Adds De Gruyter

De Gruyter ebooks are now available for purchase through the OASIS system.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA, February 21, 2017 – ProQuest has joined forces with De Gruyter to make De Gruyter ebooks available for purchase through the OASIS® system.

Spanning 28 subject areas including architecture and design, computer science, economics, engineering, law and music, De Gruyter provides access to 26,000 ebooks from over 15 international imprints.

“We simplify our customers’ workflow by making OASIS a gateway to books from any platform or publisher,” said Audrey Marcus, Vice President, Product Management, ProQuest Books. “We are pleased to add De Gruyter titles, and look forward to developing more relationships like this to provide ideal choices for a growing, diverse customer base.”

Through OASIS selection and acquisition, users enjoy access to one of the broadest print and ebook title databases in the industry; they also benefit from powerful search, profiling, collection management and reporting tools. OASIS users select from proven ebook aggregator platforms – Ebook Central, EBL, ebrary, MyiLibrary, EBSCO – plus a growing list of publisher platforms including UPSO, Wiley Online Library, Info-Sci, Taylor & Francis, CRCnetBase, and now De Gruyter.

“We always welcome the opportunity to increase the visibility and the availability of our titles,” said Steve Fallon, Director Sales Americas, De Gruyter. “In the last ten years, both our high-quality academic titles and our flexible business models have led to increased demand for our content by our direct and indirect customers. The OASIS partnership is a prime example of our desire to increase choice and flexibility to our customers in cooperation with a trusted partner.”

Over the last 12 months, ProQuest has made significant enhancements to the OASIS platform to streamline workflows and support faster and better collection development. These include value-add features such as a DDA MARC removal service, DDA add button, awards profile, collections support, WorldCat links and faster ebook order processing.
