ANN ARBOR, MI, January 24, 2014 - Ingram Content Group Inc., and ProQuest’s EBL - Ebook Library, a leading e-book aggregator serving academic, corporate and research libraries worldwide, today announced that more than 400,000 EBL e-book titles are available through Ingram's OASIS® content platform for academic libraries worldwide.

"Our goal is to reduce work for libraries by making e-book discovery and acquisition more ubiquitous," said Kari Paulson, ProQuest Vice President and General Manager, Ebooks. “This agreement with Ingram provides libraries with greater choice as to how and where they acquire EBL content.”

Libraries that use the OASIS platform can search and purchase EBL e-book content through the platform. Ingram's OASIS platform customers now have access to an expanded selection of scholarly, frontlist and award-winning e-book titles from leading publishers through the collaboration. Users can view and select from an expanded selection of e-books alongside print books with no changes to existing and preferred workflows. Billing is consolidated, offering libraries integrated acquisition services and invoicing for all EBL content.

"Through our work with EBL, OASIS platform users now have access to one of the largest repositories of academic content available to libraries," said Dan Sheehan, Vice President and General Manager, Ingram Library Services. "Ingram continues to develop solutions and collaborate with leading service providers to give libraries access to content that's in demand by patrons. We are pleased to help libraries around the world meet the needs of the communities they serve.”

Ingram provides a total solution for academic libraries through Coutts Information Services Inc. and Ingram Library Services Inc. Through the company's comprehensive services, libraries can find all the materials they need from Ingram, whether print, digital, print-on-demand or hard-to-find content from one company, easing the burden of collection development, acquisition and payment.

The Ingram OASIS platform is an online library interface for bibliographic information and searching, book and e-book acquisition, collection development and workflow management. Through the OASIS platform, libraries can access a database of millions of titles; search, select and manage orders online; download records, including no-cost MARC downloads; monitor standing orders; manage approval plans and new title notification plans; track orders and access reporting information.
