SEATTLE, WA, February 20, 2014 - The American Public University System (APUS) selects ProQuest technologies to support discovery of their electronic resources and advance its research library. Selection of the Summon® discovery service, 360 Link and Syndetic Solutions™ will help to streamline the research experience to meet the expectations of its students.

“After years of exploring services, we are delighted to embrace Summon to simplify and advance our research library in order to better meet the needs of our modern Web-based users. The flexibility offered by the Summon service will enable every discipline in APUS' curriculum to tailor services through our award-winning program portals (apus.campusguides.com),” expressed Fred Stielow, Dean of Libraries.

As an extensive user of LibGuides, APUS was especially impressed by the ability to leverage other services with the Summon service and also decided to add Syndetic Solutions and 360 Link. The combination of services, will help them increase electronic resource discovery and offer their students an easy yet more engaging research experience.

Striving to provide their students the very best in discovery, APUS pioneered and continues to highlight virtual library services for a global audience of over 100,000 students. In search of the next big thing, the library staff recognized the need to increase support for the discovery of their library’s electronic resources and finally found the right fit with the Summon, 360 Link and Syndetic Solutions.
