Seattle, WA, October 15, 2013 - Serials Solutions, a ProQuest business, continues to expand its coverage by working with Psychoanalytic Electronic Publishing to include PEP Web, a digital archive of classic psychoanalytic texts, in the Summon service. Acting on requests from clients in the UK, the full text of these important psychoanalytic resources will be indexed in the Summon discovery service.

Spanning over 138 publication years, the PEP Archive is known as the place for psychoanalytic literature research. The archive contains full text and editorial notes of 24 volumes of the Standard Edition of the Complete Psychological Works of Sigmund Freud, as well as the 18 volume German Freud Standard Edition Gesammelte Werke, and also includes the complete text and illustrations of 49 psychoanalysis journals and 96 classic psychoanalytic books.

With the inclusion of these classic psychoanalytic texts in the Summon service, Serials Solutions continues to demonstrate its commitment to make the most comprehensive collection of scholarly content in a single unified index. Researchers will now be able to search the PEP Web archive alongside their library’s other resources to gather the most relevant information for their projects.

Used by more than 600 libraries in more than 40 countries, the Summon discovery service is proven to increase usage of library resources across a library’s collection without bias to format, vendor, or platform. With the introduction of Summon 2.0 - groundbreaking features and a new, modern interface - the Summon service continues to deliver on its mission to return researchers to the library by providing a user experience that resonates with users familiar with open web search engines.
