STAT!Ref Serials Solutions® KnowledgeWorks Certification Offers Best Access to Users

Libraries that subscribe to both Serials Solutions and STAT!Ref may now access their resources directly through Serials Solutions KnowledgeWorks knowledgebase.

Jackson, Wyo.–Teton Data Systems (TDS) announces that STAT!Ref is now KnowledgeWorks Certified. Through this certification Serials Solutions and STAT!Ref will collaborate to provide the best possible access to e-resources in libraries and institutions. Libraries that subscribe to both Serials Solutions and STAT!Ref may now access their resources directly through Serials Solutions KnowledgeWorks knowledgebase.

“Working with the team at Serials Solutions is easy and efficient,” said Dean Serra, TDS VP of Sales and Marketing. “It also offers another option for our customers to access their STAT!Ref subscriptions getting them to crucial healthcare information quickly.”

“We’re honored to have Teton Data System join the KnowledgeWorks Certification program,” says Sherrard Ewing, Provider Relations Specialist at Serials Solutions. “It’s a sign of their commitment to the positive experience of our mutual clients. Becoming KnowledgeWorks Certified ensures the best experience possible for these clients using Stat!Ref through the Serials Solutions discovery services.” KnowledgeWorks Certified is the publisher certification program from Serials Solutions. The KnowledgeWorks Certification program helps Serials Solutions develop the best possible relationships with content providers. These relationships enable Serials Solutions to maintain the highest quality bibliographic metadata for e-resources, eBooks and more in the KnowledgeWorks knowledgebase. Greater collaboration also helps our librarians to more quickly resolve issues if they occur.

The Serials Solutions Knowledgebase embraces the complexity of e-resources. To find a title without a normalized knowledgebase, both the searcher and content provider must use an identical title name, or the search will not return accurate results. Serials Solutions normalizes KnowledgeWorks data to enable accurate results even when variant title names are used. For example, if STAT!Ref uses “ACP PIER, Journal Club & AHFS DI® Essentials™” as the title name and an end user searches for “ACP Physicians’ Information and Education Resource,” he or she will get the right result, whatever the name.
