Seattle, WA – June 5, 2009 IOP Publishing, a not for profit publisher owned by the Institute of Physics, has announced that it has partnered with Serials Solutions to become KnowledgeWorks™ Certified. The KnowledgeWorks Certified program helps Serials Solutions maintain the highest quality bibliographic metadata for e-resources, eBooks, and more by ensuring that the Serials Solutions® KnowledgeWorks™ knowledgebase is populated with the highest quality data offered by content providers like IOP Publishing.

When publishers participate in the KnowledgeWorks certification program, librarians can trust that Serials Solutions and their providers are collaborating to maintain the highest quality bibliographic data.

“Librarians using IOP Publishing with Serials Solutions services can ensure that their users have access to their valued IOP resources,” says Laura Shaw, Customer Services Manager at IOP Publishing. “IOP Publishing will work diligently with Serials Solutions to provide the best possible data and resolve any data issues that may occur.”

Serials Solutions provides content partners and librarians with a dedicated Provider Relations Specialist who will help address and resolve inquiries about resources or data. Both content providers and librarians can trust that through the KnowledgeWorks Certified program, their users will receive the best experience accessing licensed content.

“Serials Solutions is extremely pleased to welcome IOP Publishing as a KnowledgeWorks Certified content provider,” says Sherrard Ewing, Serials Solutions Provider Relations Specialist. “We’ll work with IOP Publishing to make sure their data is presented to library patrons accurately and in the way that they intend.”

The relationship will ensure the highest quality bibliographic metadata available is delivered and greater collaboration will help librarians to quickly resolve any questions.
