Indian School of Business is First in India to Choose ProQuest TDM Studio for Text and Data Mining
Researchers with and without coding experience can transform massive datasets into insights and discoveries
Researchers, faculty and students at the Indian School of Business (ISB) can now analyze massive volumes of data, spot trends and patterns, and quickly gain powerful insights using a unique text and data mining (TDM) resource.
ISB, a global business school offering management education to professionals at its two campuses in Hyderabad and Mohali, is the first institution in India to adopt TDM Studio, a solution that enables advanced exploration of data in research, teaching and learning across disciplines.
TDM Studio is accessible to users with and without coding experience, removing barriers to analyze large datasets. A new visualization interface in TDM Studio allows users to build powerful visualizations in minutes, while those with coding experience benefit from its development environment. TDM Studio is designed to work with the library’s existing content, including the extraordinary range of historical newspapers, journals and dissertations available from ProQuest, Part of Clarivate.
“ISB has always been at the forefront of knowledge creation with cutting-edge research in emerging areas of business and management. TDM Studio helps us narrow down the precise content we need for ongoing projects,” said Prasanna Tantri, Associate Professor of Finance, ISB. “The TDM Studio tools, such as the geographic visualization and sentiment analysis, enhance the scope of data exploration and make TDM Studio an excellent platform for academic research.”
“We’re thrilled that the Indian School of Business is the first academic institution in India to select TDM Studio. This solution will bring powerful data analytics to the institution’s research, teaching and learning community,” said Mindy Pozenel, Director of Product Management at ProQuest. “ISB is an institution at the forefront of data science, and we look forward to seeing their users’ new insights and discoveries.”
