ProQuest One Business is “Sleek and Intuitive,” says Charleston Advisor
The industry’s newest business resource ranks 4.75 out of 5 in a new review
Charleston Advisor, a renowned source of reviews for information databases and digital resources, has rated ProQuest One Business 4.75 out of 5 in a newly published review.
“The ProQuest One Business interface is sleek and intuitive,” writes librarian Kaci Resau. “Searchability and manipulation of the search functions are easy. The widgets are helpful and intuitive and connect users to related and relevant content.”
She adds, “the variety of content users have access to in one product is remarkable.”
ProQuest One Business is a comprehensive solution designed to support the unique teaching and learning needs of business faculty and students. The resource delivers a mix of multi-format content in an interface that helps business students build the research skills and confidence they’ll need for courses and careers. It’s already in use at academic libraries around the world.
Charleston Advisor evaluates resources on four key factors: content, user interface and searchability, pricing, and purchase or contract options. ProQuest One Business ranked 4.5 out of 5 or higher in each category (pricing, which varies by institution, was rated N/A).
In her review, Resau also writes about several features that distinguish ProQuest One Business:
- Videos: “A key feature of the video content is the scrolling transcript that appears beside the media file.”
- Company profile pages: “For undergraduate students or students new to business, the company profile pages are extremely useful.”
- Overall fit for purpose: “A one-stop shop for content with robust SWOT analysis, videos, and business profiles…”
