750 Journals, 2 Centuries, Infinite Insights
Periodicals Archive Online connects researchers to a rich digital archive of leading international journals in the Humanities and Social Sciences, spanning more than two centuries. Users can find what they need – the expected and demanded as well as the rare – from hundreds of full-text journals from 1802 to 2005*, covering 37 disciplines and sources from 30 countries.
Over 750 historically respected journals are provided from volume 1, issue 1, with titles selected by an expert editorial team. Journals are only considered for inclusion if the backfile is predominantly unavailable through other online sources. These titles are thoughtfully organized into distinct collections, providing academic libraries with the flexibility to select individual or group archives that precisely match their budget and scholarly requirements.
Within the archive, users can pinpoint articles via precision search, or browse individual issues as if consulting the originals; each issue is digitized from cover to cover.
Major Titles include:
-
- Spectator
- New Statesman
- Sight & Sound
- Maclean’s
- New Leader
- History Today
- Harper’s
- Philosophy Today
