University of Waikato Launches Ex Libris campusM Mobile App to Boost Communication and Collaboration among Students and Staff

Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, is pleased to announce the University of Waikato, located in Hamilton, New Zealand, has launched its WaikatoUni mobile app based on the campusM platform

ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA, December 8, 2020 – Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, is pleased to announce that the University of Waikato, located in Hamilton, New Zealand, has launched its WaikatoUni mobile app based on the Ex Libris campusM™ platform.

The solution and its features are aligned with two key university strategic goals: providing a unique student experience and investing in the success of future students. Using the app, students now benefit from a highly personalized experience and can access all of the University’s systems and services through a single access point. Using the campusM solution, the University provides information tailored to the needs of prospective students, which is communicated to them when and where they need it.

Previously challenged by inconsistent access to multiple systems through a variety of user interfaces, the University now benefits from campusM’s simplified user experience which enables the University to communicate, interact, and collaborate easily with both current and prospective students, providing information and services appropriate for each cohort. Through the campusM platform, WaikatoUni supports all aspects of student achievement and personal growth, extending beyond academic to include social, cultural, financial, and health (physical and mental) services.

“Feedback gathered in student forums was clear—students wanted a mobile app to make their campus life easier, especially an app that they could use on the device that they are most accustomed to,” said University of Waikato Director of Student Services, Mike Calvert.

“Advancements in mobile technology in recent years have created a new set of expectations around the user experience. To meet these expectations, we chose the campusM platform, which will now help us engage with our students and prospects in a more personalized way.”

“We are honored to be selected by the University of Waikato and to collaborate with their team in meeting students’ needs and increasing their engagement with the University,” commented Ido Peled, corporate vice president of Student Digital Solutions at Ex Libris.
