ProQuest Welcomes Michael Rai

Seasoned executive joins ProQuest as the new General Manager, Corporate Markets, overseeing the ProQuest Dialog and Pi2 products.

ANN ARBOR, MI, August 17, 2017 – Michael Rai has joined ProQuest as the new General Manager, Corporate Markets, overseeing the ProQuest Dialog® and Pi2 products as well as sales of ProQuest® content and book solutions to the company’s corporate customers.

ProQuest has been developing and investing in corporate solutions since it acquired Dialog in 2008 and continues to innovate on behalf of professional researchers, curating mission critical content, simplifying workflows and connecting information communities.

“Michael has a proven track record for developing strong customer relationships and accelerating revenue growth. He’s a welcome addition to our team,” said Kurt Sanford, ProQuest CEO. “Under Michael’s leadership, we expect to enrich our strong customer relationships for ProQuest Dialog and continue to grow the industry-leading pharmacovigilance solution Pi2.”

Michael has an extensive background in the information, software, and database markets and has served in leadership roles in product management, development, and sales. He joins ProQuest from RELX Group (formerly Reed Elsevier), where he held a variety of roles over the past 18 years, including serving as General Manager for the scientific literature management tool Quosa and, more recently, as business development director for the company’s intellectual property group.

Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Sheffield and a Masters in marketing from the University of London. He will be based in ProQuest’s London office.
