Ex Libris Is First Global Library Vendor to Establish Data Center in China
BEIJING, CHINA, October 27, 2016 – Ex Libris®, a ProQuest company, is pleased to announce the opening of an Ex Libris data center in Beijing, the fifth such center established by Ex Libris worldwide. The decision to set up a Chinese data center results from the rapid growth in the number of Ex Libris customers and prospective customers in the Asia Pacific region.
With over 16 years of experience in delivering products and services to China, Ex Libris understands that the high-growth, fast-moving economy of the country requires its libraries to adapt quickly and scale efficiently. The Beijing data center contributes to the Ex Libris holistic approach to the Chinese market, complementing the company’s full support for the Chinese language.
“The new data center in China signals our strong commitment to helping libraries in the region fully embrace cloud solutions, advance their library services, and become leaders in their industry,” said Ziv BenZvi, Ex Libris vice president for Asia Pacific. “This is great news for our customers throughout China, who are eager to provide their patrons with best-of-breed library cloud services and take advantage of the unlimited possibilities that cloud library solutions offer.”
