ProQuest Adds Muscle to Research of Spanish Literature

ProQuest is improving research outcomes for scholars of Spanish literature by amping the power of the classic Bibliografía de la Literatura Española (BLE).

ANN ARBOR, MI, February 25, 2015 – ProQuest is improving research outcomes for scholars of Spanish literature by amping the power of the classic Bibliografía de la Literatura Española (BLE). The resource is now available on the ProQuest® platform, enabling users to apply content tools and cross-search with their library’s larger ProQuest collection, including PRISMA, for a smoother, faster workflow.

Bibliografía de la Literatura Española is a comprehensive bibliography of monographs, periodical articles, critical editions of literary works, book reviews, bibliographies, congress proceedings, and other miscellaneous material covering a wide range of subject areas: literary theory, literary genres, popular literature, Hispanism, bibliographies, and authors. The database features not only editions of their works, but also translated editions and critical studies.

With the move to the ProQuest platform the database seamlessly connects to the full-text database PRISMA, enabling articles sourced through BLE to be matched to the full text.  A dual language interface supports English-speaking researchers of Spanish literature, while search fields tailored specifically to this field of study makes exploration more precise. Further, with the platform’s integration with Flow, users can save, share, and edit on one place for effective research management.

“The combination of BLE and PRISMA on the ProQuest platform is unique and very powerful for researchers,” said John Pegum, ProQuest senior product manager, Humanities. “We’re excited to enable new breakthroughs and a far more fluid research experience for scholars of Spanish literature.”
