Libraries are better equipped to support the academic and professional success of their researchers now that vital technical titles from O’Reilly Media are available on the ebrary platform.

ebrary®, a ProQuest business, now offers more than 2,500 titles for perpetual purchase from O’Reilly Media, Microsoft Press, and several publishers distributed by O'Reilly Media including Maker Media, Rocky Nook, Rosenfeld Media, JIST, TIDBits and XML Press. Offering topics such as programming, open source software, operating systems, big data, interface design and more, the O’Reilly selection aligns with key academic programs, enabling users to gain both foundational technical skills and deep technical expertise. The selection is available to academic and public libraries globally.

"Unreliable resources can be detrimental to any information seeker. Those who aspire to succeed in demanding technical fields have no time to waste and require access to current information from accredited sources," said Leslie Lees, Vice President of Content Development, Ebooks, ProQuest. By partnering with O'Reilly, we're empowering libraries to help users find the technical answers that they need and to find them quickly."

With more than 14 years of input from librarians, publishers and end-users, the ebrary platform enables researchers to easily find answers, 24/7, from all devices including the iPad®, iPhone®, iPod touch® and all flavors of Android. Currently integrating with, EBL - Ebook Library, fellow ebook pioneer and ProQuest business, the two companies will offer an unparalleled ebook experience with the widest content offering, most innovative acquisition models, and complete end-to-end workflow solutions. Customers will benefit from the ongoing enhancements to both the ebrary and EBL platforms in the interim and later the combined ebook platform in late 2014.

"O'Reilly is excited to have our content available through ebrary's platform" said Pascal Honscher, General Manager of Corporate Development, O'Reilly Media. "ebrary has a strong presence in the library ebook market, and provides us with a great opportunity to offer titles to many readers who might not otherwise see our content."
