Serials Solutions today announced enhancements to Serials Solutions® 360 Resource Manager Consortium Edition that increase resource sharing efficiency for consortium and library groups and improvements that provide superior performance across all Serials Solutions® 360 services. The new functionality for 360 Resource Manager Consortium Edition offers greater support for more types of library groups and hybrid consortia by providing sophisticated inheritance of shared resources. Serials Solutions has also enhanced the user experience through interface improvements that improve speed and facilitate inter-library communication.

"Our newest updates to 360 Resource Manager make resource sharing very intuitive for consortium and hybrid library groups and allow greater flexibility in how consortia work with members," says Serials Solutions Senior Product Manager Jeff Aipperspach, "But all Serials Solutions subscribers will benefit from the improvements in speed and performance we have also made to our client interface."

Serials Solutions® 360 Resource Manager is a complete management system, designed to enable libraries to gain control over the selection, acquisition, licensing, and usage of electronic resources. With 360 Resource Manager Consortium Edition, consortia can efficiently manage holdings, subscription, licensing, contact, and cost information for their group and streamline delivery of information to all group members.

The latest enhancements to Serials Solutions® 360 Resource Manager Consortium Edition feature more granularity in user permissions for shared objects, locking of inherited databases, auto-inheritance of shared objects, pass-through of inherited objects, and the ability to reset shared database details back to default preferences set by the consortia. New features also allow for greater flexibility in how consortia work with members by allowing the consortia to communicate changes using system-generated notifications.

Improvements made to the Serials Solutions Client Center as part of this release will result in faster page loads and streamlined navigation for all Serials Solutions 360® administrative users.
