Introducing Serials Solutions® 360 Core Basic E-Resource Access and Management Service
Serials Solutions, a business unit of ProQuest Company, today introduced the new Serials Solutions® 360 Core brand. Formerly marketed as AMS™, 360 Core is an integral part of the Serials Solutions® 360 family of e-resource access and management services, and is the basic e-journal access and management service offered both as a standalone product and included with all other 360 services.
“When Serials Solutions introduced the “AMS” brand a few years ago, our goal was to emphasize that we offered more than an A-to-Z title list. Using the Web-based tools offered in 360 Core, it is easy for libraries to add journals to local collections, evaluate holdings, and reduce acquisition costs. The Overlap Analysis tool helps quickly identify duplicated journals and do “what-if” scenarios prior to purchasing resources. The E-Catalog enables browsing of journal and database information throughout the KnowledgeWorks knowledgebase. Using 360 Core, libraries can also obtain detailed usage statistics to identify which databases and journals patrons use most.
