Serials Solutions announces XML API for 360 Link
Serials Solutions, a business unit of ProQuest, has announced the availability of a free XML Application Programming Interface (API) for its OpenURL link resolver, 360 Link. This powerful API, like the one available for Serials Solutions’ federated search application 360 Search, allows library staff to completely customize product interfaces and features to local specifications.
Libraries that implement the 360 Link API have complete programmatic control over the application. Development teams can build custom solutions to meet the requirements of local library staff, such as creating new standalone web services using 360 Link code or exploring new methods of interoperability between library applications. The 360 Link XML API can also be used to engineer “mashups” of results data and to present that data in creative ways.
