From the traditional English literature canon to the silent voices of underrepresented groups, ProQuest One Literature includes more than 500,000 works of poetry, prose and plays. More than thirty individual literature collections are centered around three main categories, canonical texts, non-English language literature, and diverse underrepresented authors and their works. Each collection has a unique landing page that faculty can share with their classes, and where users can discretely browse and search the original works of prose, poetry, and drama contained in each collection.
Over 1 million pages of primary texts from diverse and underrepresented authors offer unique perspectives to the more traditional literary canon, supporting scholars and students with works that reflect more current perspectives in literary and language studies. The poetry, prose and plays from global and diverse authors helps support the broad DEI mission of academic institutions while better reflecting the student body in academia today.
Full-text literary and interdisciplinary journals, book reviews, and dissertations offer the latest scholarly insight into contemporary literary perspectives and emerging topics. This contemporary criticism is supplemented with Historic Literary Criticism related to more than 500 influential authors from the 17th to the early 20th centuries, allowing readers to contextualize these authors in order to investigate how contemporary critics assessed their works.
