Ex Libris Users of North America (ELUNA) to Introduce Developers Day at Annual Meeting
CHICAGO, IL, March 29, 2016 – Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, is pleased to announce its participation in Developers Day at the Ex Libris Users of North America (ELUNA) May 2016 Annual Meeting. The first of its kind at ELUNA Annual Meetings, Developers Day will be devoted to technical presentations by customer developers and Ex Libris development managers.
The primary purpose of Developers Day is to enable institutional developers to meet, share their expertise, and collaborate on projects. Furthermore, the day gives customer developers an opportunity to discuss their projects with Ex Libris development managers, thus increasing awareness of the work being done by both sides.
Mehmet Celik, from KU Leuven/LIBIS, will give the keynote address. Celik authored the jQuery.PRIMO development library and collaborated with Ex Libris to make the library available to all customers in the February 2016 Primo release.
The remainder of Developers Day will be filled with customer developer presentations on a variety of topics—for example, integration and interoperability, tools for streamlining library processes, librarian-friendly programming guidelines, the use of Alma APIs, and analytics. Managers from the Ex Libris development team will present the customization framework for the new Primo user interface, which is scheduled for release in August 2016.
