Serials Solutions®, a business unit of ProQuest® LLC, today announced enhancements to its 360 Counter, 360 Resource Manager and 360 Consortium Edition management services. The enhancements improve the management, workflow and assessment of a library’s collection of electronic resources, enabling staff to realize even greater efficiencies and make more informed collection development decisions.

"Ongoing enhancement and improvement across all of our services is a top priority at Serials Solutions," said Stan Sorensen, vice president of management solutions with Serials Solutions. "We understand this work is critical to making our services sound long-term investments for all of our clients. In today’s complex and fluid world of information management, it is important we continue to build and enhance our practical, problem-solving management solutions that enable libraries to better manage collections throughout the entire e-resource lifecycle."

Serials Solutions has enhanced 360 Counter and the 360 Counter Data Retrieval Service (DRS) to now support vendor-supplied data for eBooks and Journals from Archive collections, and updated the reporting interface to support the aggregation and evaluation of these new data elements. As a result, librarians will now have a more sophisticated analysis of valuable e-resource data available to make better-informed collection decisions.

The reporting enhancements made to Serials Solutions 360 Resource Manager, which include the addition of unique identifiers in all reports, will provide librarians with more consistent, comprehensive data to further optimize their e-resource management. In addition, menu manager, cost tracking and other interface enhancements offer greater flexibility for librarians to track and integrate collection data with other library systems, further improving communication and workflow.

Serials Solutions also recently created a new Resource Sharing and Inheritance Report to allow consortium managers to view sharing and inheritance activities across the consortium profiles in all 360 Consortium Edition services, including 360 Search and 360 Resource Manager.
