Celebrate Squirrel Awareness Month

Squirrel Awareness Month began with a man named Greg Bassett who had an encounter with a squirrel in 1995. After that, he created the Squirrel Lover's Club to share information about these cute little critters with other people. Squirrels are part of the rodent family. There are over 250 different species of squirrels around the world. Some types of squirrels include tree squirrels, ground squirrels, flying squirrels, chipmunks, woodchucks, prairie dogs, and more.
