With the buzz around STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education continuing to rise, it is important to remember that the humanities matter. The humanities inspire the innovators of tomorrow by providing real knowledge for real-world reasoning.

The humanities teach us where we've been, who we are, and empower us to grow; they are the epitome of human expression.

Scientists are constantly making advancements with a goal of creating a better world for us to live in. But, how can one create a better world without the humanities? To create a better future, students need access to the humanities so they can:

-- Understand human nature and global perspectives
-- Appreciate cultural differences
-- Develop critical thinking and analytical reasoning
-- Make informed decisions
-- Learn from history's lessons
-- Communicate effectively
-- Imagine possibilities
