Overview

OASIS is an online ordering platform used by academic librarians responsible for selecting and acquiring content for use by patrons. OASIS streamlines workflows by resolving common pain points for all academic libraries. Subject specialists use OASIS to search and select from a vast database of print and electronic books and streaming video in one system. Acquisition librarians use OASIS to review the alternate formats, licensing and platform options before placing orders. Through EDI and APIs, information in OASIS can flow electronically into the Ex Libris Higher-Ed cloud platform and other systems.

In addition, ProQuest provides several services to ease a librarian’s workload:

  • Shelf-Ready Services send print books to the library with protective covers, identification markers and theft prevention devices applied so titles are ready for circulation.
  • Collection & Workflow Consultants work collaboratively with librarians to build book profiles and programs to meet your book collection goals and budgets.
  • Various levels of cataloging to suit a library’s specific needs, including WorldCat Collection Manager, and customized MARCs.

Growing options to support libraries’ current need for ebooks.

OASIS and Rialto regularly work with the Publishing and Aggregator community to provide new services and expanded programs to make needed ebooks available.

Please check back often as this information will be updated as publishers announce new programs.
