Beginning with the most famous member of the Revere family, Paul Revere (1735-1818), the collection contains the family correspondence and private papers of more than a dozen members of the Revere family and spans three generations.
Included are the personal papers of Paul Revere, silversmith and Revolutionary patriot, records from his foundry and workshop, the papers of his two sons, as well as his two grandsons, both of whom served with the Twentieth Massachusetts Regiment during the Civil War. There are also papers dealing with the Canton, Massachusetts branch of this famous American family.
