Usage analysis indicates students and researchers are heavy users of local content. Local scholarly journals are often the most used publications. But, researchers need to search multiple locations to keep up to date with scholarly research in their region.
ProQuest has launched nine regional databases with publications from more than 110 countries. Publications include over 350 university presses, more than 150 academic associations and societies, plus scholarly publishers. The interdisciplinary databases cover business, humanities, medical, science, technology, engineering and social sciences.
