In 2013, SINTEF published the staggering statistic, “A full 90% of all the data in the world has been generated over the last two years.” Every minute Instagram users post 216,000 new photos, Twitter users tweet 277,000 times and Google receives 4,000,000 search queries.
With this amount of data, it is no wonder infographics are popular. Library data is no exception. Covering topics from library services to careers in information science, organizations created enlightening infographics for librarians and patrons in 2015.
Below are the top four library-related infographics based on number of shares. The infographics were shared on a variety of sites but the Ebook Friendly blog propelled three out of four of the infographics to the top of the list. Electric Literature boosted another. Data was gathered from BuzzSumo.

- Industry Outlook in Library and Information Science, USC Marshall School of Business via Electric Literature
- The 21st Century Library, California State Library via Ebook Friendly
- 50 Unusual Things you can Borrow from the Library, ProQuest via Ebook Friendly
