Chapter-level linking for e-books is now available in 360 Link, Serials Solutions' OpenURL link resolver. With this enhancement, users are able to link to e-book content at the chapter level, rather than linking at the title level. This enables users to dive directly into the content, thereby making their research process more efficient and rewarding.
As shown in the screenshot below, users will see links to access the content they are interested in at both the title and chapter-level from various providers, per your library-prioritized provider display. In addition, if your library has the e-book option for 360 Link, they will see valuable links specific to the e-book data such as searching for the title in the catalog and other resources, or requesting the title through Interlibrary Loan.
Chapter-level e-book linking is now available for the following publishers on these respective e-book platforms.
Publisher/Provider | E-book Platform |
---|---|
All publishers/content providers | Ebook Library (EBL) |
All publishers/content providers | IEEE Xplore |
All publishers/content providers | Informit (RMIT Publishing) |
Walter de Gruyter | Reference Global |
Springer | SpringerLink |
Taylor & Francis | Taylor & Francis Online |
Wiley-Blackwell | Wiley Online Library |
As Serials Solutions continually adds linking data to 360 Link, chapter-level linking for other e-book providers and platforms will be available as soon as possible, depending on the availability of chapter-level linking data from the publisher and/or platform. If you are interested in chapter-level linking for other publishers and/or platforms, submit a New Link Request via the Support Center. Our team will then contact the publisher to see if chapter-level linking data is available for integration into 360 Link.
